Local News Clippings
Newspaper clippings obtained via a clipping agency by Upjohn from five different local newspapers from 1961-1967 arranged by date and the newspaper, and a broader selection of local newspapers in 1968 arranged by subject. Of these five local papers, only the Kalamazoo Gazette is still in existence in the same form as it was when these clippings were obtained. The Vicksburg Commercial was absorbed by the Kalamazoo Gazette and the rest of these local papers went out of business.
News, Marketing & Instructional Materials
The collection is composed of ledgers, photographs, catalogs, promotional material and other miscellaneous items from the Doubleday Brothers and Company which produced blank books, forms for schools, banks and governments and stationery and also printed and sold office supplies and furniture. The company began in 1898 and left Kalamazoo in 2005. It exists as a digital printing company called Fidlar Doubleday and is located in Iowa.
