The collection is composed of one item: Menu for Thanksgiving Dinner from Station Hospital at Fort Custer in Augusta, MI. Item is dated to Thanksgiving 1943.

Biographical / Historical
The Station Hospital at Fort Custer provided medical care for soldiers during WW2, and other non-medical services which were supplied by the American Red Cross Gray Ladies. One such services was home nursing classes for women to be able to care for themselves and their families in simple illnesses. The Station Hospital and American Red Cross provided many contributions to soldiers and civilians in the area during wartime extending past medical aid to include activities such as the Thanksgiving dinner. The Thanksgiving dinner in 1943 was the second Thanksgiving to occur during wartime.

Physical Description
The collection amounts to .10 cubic feet and consists of one Thanksgiving Menu from the Station Hospital at Fort Custer. The menu cover is heavy off-white cardstock and the pages are thinner off-white paper. There is a red illustration of caduceus on the cover. Item is in good condition.
