(The Foundation Charter of Westminster Abbey, with the Great Seal of Edward the Confessor, c.1120; manuscripts pillaged from the Spanish Royal Library by Joseph Bonaparte and captured from him by the Duke of Wellington at the Battle of Vitoria in 1813; a hitherto unrecorded manuscript from the Medieval Library of Winchester Cathedral containing some 15 unknown Middle English poems, c.1487; Dati's la Sfera and Buondelmonti's Liber Insularum Archipelagi, both profusely illustrated with maps and views, Italy, 15th century; Books of Hours and liturgical manuscripts including breviaries, a missal and a pontifical; single leaves and miniatures.)
