Scope and Contents
The papers of Father Braceland include photostats, photocopies and transcriptions of full manuscripts or leaves from texts held at the Vatican Library and other European libraries and archives, as well as photocopied excerpts of books that he used for his research. There are also handwritten translations and notes, as well as correspondence. The papers mostly relate to research Father Braceland undertook for his translations of and presentations on the works of Cistercians Aelred of Rievaulx, Gilbert of Hoyland, Serlo of Savigny and Serlo of Wilton.
