biographical statement
Hugh Jefferson Moser (born 1925, died 2009) was born to Walter L. Moser and Ilse Moser in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvannia, one of two boys. He was a graduate of Grove City (PA) College and Carnegie Mellon University. He later joined the army in 1943, becoming a four-year veteran of World War II. In 1950, Hugh married Ruth Ann Merwin (1929-) in Grove City, PA. Together they moved in 1953 to Kalamazoo, Michigan where he joined the Upjohn Company. By 1990, he retired as art director in the International Advertising Division.
