Biography
Charles Harold Smith (1896-1975) was born in Rising Sun, Indiana to Mason C. Smith and Mary E. Allen (1874-). He was enlisted on May 20, 1918 and was discharged on March 31, 1919. He married Mary Kathrine Leach (1894-1975) on January 28, 1921 in Ross, Ohio. He and Mary Kathrine had three sons: Harold Dwight Smith (1922-1997), Fredrick Donald Smith (1929-), and Robert Adrian Smith (1931-2011). He died three months after his wife on July 12, 1975 in Lansing, Michigan.
