Biography

Reuben Bennett was born to Elsie Sustire Bennett and Arthur B. Bennett in 1848 and lived to the age of 71, dying in 1919. In 1872 he married his wife, Ornissa Pierce Bennett (1848-1932), with whom he had five children. Out of his five children, three survived to adulthood; Elsie, Alice, and Alta. His daughter Alta married Fred Merrit, and Elise married Milo Van Nortwick. Although he briefly lived in Tekamah, Nebraska, Reuben spent most of his life residing in Calhoun County, Michigan including Albion.
