Biography

Issam Zineh was a cariovascular pharmacogenanics fellow at the University of Florida. According to the Mudlark Poster No. 37, publication of University of North Florda, he is originally from Los Angeles. He has lived in Cape Cod, Boston, Durham, NC, and Gainesville, FL. According to ASCPT , he founded the Joseph DeRoche Prize for Poetry and continues to act as the final judge. His poems have appeared in Mudlark, Nimrod, Amelia, JAMA, and others.

His poems "In a Perfect World," "The Wedding on the Cliff," "Psyche," and "The Day I Die" were published in Parting Gifts, a project of March Street Press.
