March Street Press Collection

Identifier: 05-exws_marchstreet

Scope and Contents

The collection is housed in 136 boxes (the first 135 labeled by Bixby himself) which document the creative output of March Street Press between 1992 until 2009. The bulk of the collection contains correspondence between the editor (Robert J. Bixby) and authors, manuscripts, proofs, copyright documents, photographs, cover art and ephemera. It also contains a complete run of the magazine, Parting Gifts, as well as copy of each book published by the press.

The original order of the contents of each box has been maintained, but numbers have been added to the boxes for the sake of creating a finding aid for this collection. The numbers assigned to the boxes reflect the sequence in which the boxes were added to the finding aid's inventory and are not chronological.
