Biography

The West Douglas Neighborhood Association was formed in 1978. Until 1983 the Association shared an office with the Stuart Area Restoration Association in the Unity Church. The association held various activities for teens and youths in the area including homework help and teen zone. The program was created by Kalamazoo College to create a sense of community. In 2004 the association changed their name to the Fairmont Neighboorhood Association. The association dissolved in 2012.
