In January 1902, Mrs. Fanny M. Bair had a library built and donated it to the Vicksburg Ladies Library Association, by that time membership was 63 women. The library assembly room served the village well for many functions. On the evening of Tuesday, February 9th, 1909, the ladies literary club in the Fanny M.
