This collection is composed of a sign from the Kalamazoo and Suburban Express Company. The sign simply says “Kalamazoo and Suburban Express Co.” in black on both sides. This sign likely dates to the latter portion of the 19th century. The sign was created approximately between 1880-1900.

One of Kalamazoo’s oldest music organizations, the Kalamazoo Bach festival was founded by the Professor of Music at Kalamazoo College, Henry Overley, in 1946.
