Scope and Contents

Collection consists of three items from the Kalamazoo Choral Club. One membership ticket for Ellen Pratt, a ticket order advertisement, and a show program. All items are approximately December 1931.

Biographical / Historical

The Kalamazoo Choral Club, also known as the Civic Choral Club was formed in October 1931. The club operated for approximately 18 years and was composed of local musical directors and their choirs, with an invitation to join also extended to singers not currently involved with a choral group. The club was set to be discontinued after a recreation budget cut in 1941. Operations continued until roughly 1949.

Physical Description

All items are made from heavy paper. The membership ticket and the advertisement are off white with black ink and the program is light yellow-green with darker green ink. There is some writing in pencil on the membership ticket that is slightly faded. All items are in good condition.
