Scope and Contents
Women in Business was a statewide company located in Muskegon. The Kalamazoo and Battle Creek office was managed by Marti Fritz living in Kalamazoo. The inside cover has the categories, zip codes and area codes for the businesses listed. It appears, according to the statement on the bottom of page one that there was a cost to listing in the brochure. Some businesses may not have been owned by women but catered to them. The majority of them do have their owners and operators listed along with addresses and phone numbers.

Physical Description
The collection amounts to .05 cubic feet and is composed of one booklet titled,“Women in Business In and Around Kalamazoo, Michigan” and is dated 1984-1985. It measures 8 ½” x 3 ½” and has approximately twelve pages. They contain listings of a wide variety of businesses owned by women in the Kalamazoo area during these years. The booklet is in good condition. The front and back covers are in heavy cream colored paper and the text is printed on white paper. There also is printing on the inside covers.
