This series consists of design templates, catalogues, and correspondence from the Henderson-Ames Company located in Kalamazoo Michigan, which was in business from 1893 to 1993.

Physical Description

The series is composed of 1.0 cubic feet of material. The material within the collection ranges from correspondence, catalogues, and design templates of uniforms/regalia for various masonic orders.

The items are in fair condition, the correspondence and catalogues show heavy amounts of stains and slight damage around the edge of the pages.

The documents range in size from 8.5” x 11” to 12” x 9”. The documents are all typewritten and all of the documents are legible. The design templates range in size from 7.25” x 11.5” to 8” x 13.5”. The templates are slightly bending at the edges but the templates are still presentable.

The templates placed on a thicker, almost cardboard like material. All of the templates are hand-drawn and some are drawn in color and the others are drawn in black and white but indicate what color certain parts of the uniforms should/will be.
