Diary gives extensive information on daily events; no notes until around March 9 where notes departure of Donald, Jr. who leaves for Los Angeles after funeral for father; Donna keeps track of time spent in “museum” located in house getting ready for sale of Donald’s collections; at end of year; notes visits of Alexis Praus and Dr. Macleod who helped appraise the collection; also visits by Lloyd Yenner a lawyer; November 8, 1949 notes visit by Miriam and George Arend who purchased some of the “relics” from Donna; also visited by Dr. Hatt from the Cranbrook Institute of Science; also by December showing collection to customers; does mention other daily events and that she is lonesome and blue; at end of year states has spent 1,642 hours on museum that year.
