Scope and Contents From the Collection: Pages from the Past leaf books were sold as six different collections with three different releases (18 total sets were sold in editions of varying numbers) between 1964-1966. These were all compiled and sold by the Washington DC-based dealer, Alfred W. Stites of Foliophiles, Inc., who had dismembered original printings and manuscripts specifically for the purpose of selling them in these "portfolio sets", as he referred to them. Scope and Contents

A leaf from Hieroglyphica, a catalogue of some of the flora and fauna mentioned in the Bible. It also contains references to animals that were not known to be in the Scriptural lands. Heiroglyphica contained interpretations by the Scottish Preacher Reverand Archibald Simson. It was brought out by Thomas Finlason in edinburgh, 1622-1623. The recto side of the page is marked as 39; the verso side is marked as 40.
