Biographical / Historical
Helen Jackson Zakin (1945-) is a professor of art, emeritus, at SUNY Oswego. She specialized in medieval stained glass and is internationally known for her research on Cistercian grisaille glass. She published a monograph on that topic, French Cistercian Grisaille Glass (1979), and contributed to an international research project dedicated to recording examples of medieval stained glass, the Corpus Vitrearum Medii Aevi.

This archival collection was donated to WMU Libraries Special Collections by Dr. Zakin in 2010.
Physical Description
It is housed in 6 archival Hollinger boxes and contains images, notes, booklets, papers and other materials that she collected for her research, as well as papers and presentations she prepared and correspondence. Her personal research library was donated to the University of Rochester, in New York.
