Biographical / Historical
Father Anthony R. Bellesorte, OCSO (approximately 1936 - present) is a monk of the Abbey of New Clairvaux in Vina, California. He graduated from Drexel University in 1972 with a BS in Business and Engineering, while also studying the subjects of philosophy, theology, psychology, art, music, and aviation. Originally from Philadelphia, he worked as a Sales Engineer and later as an Administrative Engineer in Milwaukee and San Francisco until he joined the Dominicans in 1963. He began painting abstracts and making his own pottery, which he often sells in the Abbey Bookstore where he works.
