Scope and Contents

Images depict the medical unit and their operations, visiting military officials, and local civilian life. Photograph album belonged to Sergeant (later Lieutenant) Paul Hohendorn, a medical officer on the Eastern Front in World War I.

Physical Description

Photograph album with green paper cover with oak leaf and acorn decoration. Large label affixed to the cover has the printed address for Albert Borowski, 8261 Hohenwart/OBB. Post Hehring-NR. 3a; with the handwritten note, "Onkel, Paul im Kriegseinsatz Ost 1914/18". Thirty-nine pages with approximately 117 photographs and one postcard. Many photographs identified directly on the image with pen.
