Scope and Contents
Bound collection of German N.S.D.A.P. serial publications circa 1930s: Includes issues of Illustrierter Beobachter and Berliner Illustrierte Zeitung. Two loose items are laid in: brochure advertising Hitler's Mein Kampf and a full page cartoon depicting an overweight man diving into a body of water with a frog. There is also correspondence from the donor's daughter laid in. The donor of the complete contents of Box 4, Folder 1 was Jack Haynes who served in the U.S. Army in Germany just after the Second World War. Mr. Haynes also taught at Western Michigan University during the 1960s.
