Biography
John W. Van Eck was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan December 10, 1911, the son of Thomas W. and Janet (Klomp) Van Eck. He was employed by the U. S. Postal Service for 44 years. From 1954 to 1960 he was acting Postmaster and from 1969 to 1980 he was Postmaster. On August 11, 1937 he married Lucile L. Lotz. Van Eck died August 10, 1989 and is buried in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery, Kalamazoo, Michigan.
