Hattie Florence Childs was born May 17, 1872 in Mount City, Missouri, daughter of James and Susanna Childs. On October 6, 1892 she married Samuel Shepard at Charlotte, Michigan. Hattie died in 1957, in Pennock Hospital, Hastings, Michigan.
