Biography

Norton Pearl (1878-1960) was appointed Supervisor of Health Education Department, Detroit, Michigan, served as a principal in the Detroit school systems, wrote several books about health education, and served as one of the first rangers in Glacier National Park, 1910-1913. He married Dorothy Waite (1896-1991).

Scope and Contents Most of the correspondence is letters to Norton Pearl, Betty Beeby, and Jane Beeby, but letters to other family members (Ethel, Myrtle, and Dorothy Pearl, etc) are included as well. In addition, the collection also consists of letters to Loran Post, the Dahne family, Henry Graves, the Waite family, and the Yunker family. The diaries belong to John W.
