Biography

British songwriter and music publisher, known as Jimmy Campbell (1903-1967). Mainly active in the 1920s and 1930s, Campbell formed a songwriting and publishing team with fellow Brit Reginald Connelly (Campbell Connelly), sometimes known as "Irving King". They also collaborated with other songwriters.

Among their best known compositions are If I Had You (1928), Goodnight Sweetheart (1931) and Try A Little Tenderness (1933). They also wrote Midnight Stars And You and When The Organ Played At Twilight.
