Nathaniel Tarn ... is a prolific poet, translator, editor, and essayist. . . . Further, a specialist in the Highland Maya and in the sociology of Buddhist institutions, as E. Michael Mendelson he has published extensively in those areas; other "heteronym" used by Tarn is Michel Tavriger; b. June 30, 1928 in Paris, France; now lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
