Biography
Dorothy Dalton, a daughter of W.E. Upjohn, was one of several Kalamazoo leaders who founded the American National Bank and Trust Co. in 1933. She established a psychiatric clinic for adults at Borgess Medical Center and served on the Upjohn Co. board for 45 years.
Dalton spearheaded the design and development of Western Michigan University's Miller Auditorium and the fine-arts facilities at WMU and Kalamazoo College that bear her name, according to her foundation's website.
