The Women’s Education Coalition was a subgroup of Kalamazoo Network. The Kalamazoo Network existed from 1980 to 2012.

The goal of the Women’s Education Coalition was to raise money to provide grants for women to further their education. The earliest document regarding the Women’s Education Coalition from 1984 shows initial tentative planning and ambitions as well as data gathering. The Operations fund was established in 1993, and the official campaign kick-off was on April 20th, 1994 ending in 1997 when 1 million dollars were successfully raised. The remaining information extending to 1999 concerns the Grant program and recipients of the funds raised by the Coalition.
