These files contain material from 1942 to 1954 from the Asgrow Seed Company. They consist of cost reports, cost analysis, branch sales reports, license agreements, and other operational material relating to what became an Upjohn subsidiary in 1968.

Scope and Contents This series consists of two segments of the history of Asgrow. The first is the centennial history published by Asgrow before they were acquired by Upjohn. It focuses on the origins of company with the Clark family, and how the company grew from there. The second segment of this series is the supplementary papers, which are to a history that Upjohn did about Asgrow 20 years after the acquisition. Scope and Contents The material in this series deals with the history of the Upjohn Company and its subsidiary Asgrow and is mainly produced from the advertising and public relations departments. However, there is material produced from outside the company as well, mainly consisting of newspaper and magazine articles about the history of the company.
